This is a new project we have been asked to initially give feedback on the whether the decorative glass proposals can be achieved in production for the two options.
The stand is made of a metal structure that takes all the load and has a decorative glass insert.
Glass should be white (green not an option) with a thickness of between 8 and 12mm.
Needs to pass an impact test of 2 Joules - toughened?
There is no printing requirement on glass.
Overall sizes not stated. This is dependent on feedback.
25 to 50k qty for project.
Option 1
Rectangular base with rounded corners leading to upward curve that follows contours of 'neck'. Glass to fill this void. Lined area on attached pdf.
Option 2
Rectangular base with rounded corners leading to slight upward curve. Void not shown, but glass will fill this shape in metal structure. Lined area on pdf.
We need to have initial feedback on proposals for producing the glass - visually similar alternatives will be considered, any constraints, minimums and maximums, tooling required, leadtimes, etc, by 20th January.
Once the customer has an understand of what can be achieved, they will then produce drawings for more accurate feedback and pricing.
