1. Introduction:

Continuously molten glass flows into the tin bath with protective gas N2 & H2 and floats on the surface of tin fluid. Under the effect of gravity and surface tension, molten glass gets spread and forms glass belt with even thickness on the tin fluid. After cooled, hardened glass belt is drawn onto the transitional roller table. Rollers roll and drag the glass belt out of the tin bath and enter into annealing furnace. After annealing and cutting, we get float glass products.

During the production, adding or decreasing some of chemical materials, and then the float glass has different distinctive characters. Based on these different characters, Float Glass can be defined as Clear Glass, Low Iron Glass/Ultra Clear Glass and Tinted Glass.

2. Features:

The float glass has smooth surface, excellent optical performance, stable chemical capability, and high mechanism intensity. It is also resistant to acid, alkali and corrosion.
