(September 14, 2010) -- Scheuten Solar is introducing f | solarfloat HT (High Transmission) glass on the new P6-60 and P6-66 photovoltaic modules. This glass features a quartz-hard anti-reflection (AR) coating to improve power output and energy yield. f | solarfloat HT glass is made by f | glass (a joint venture by Scheuten and Interpane).
The cover glass of Scheuten Solar’s new modules comprises highly transparent, very-low-iron float glass for light transmission. PV modules fitted with f | solarfloat HT Glass will provide an up to 3% higher energy yield, and the coating adds resistance to acid and salt, with high mechanical strength and resistance to pollution from algae or calcium. "The introduction of high quality float glass in our PV modules combines the knowledge of Scheuten Glass and Scheuten Solar," said Evert Vlaswinkel, chief commercial officer, Scheuten Solar.
