Post Time:Sep 28,2010Classify:Industry NewsView:506

Savor some wines and learn how glassware can affect a vintage's flavors at a seminar and tasting Thursday with Maximilian Riedel of the Riedel Wine Glass Co.

The event begins at 6:15 p.m. at Anthony's Banquet & Event Center, 450 Columbia Point Drive, Richland.

Participants will have an opportunity to try four wines from glasses specifically designed to enhance the aromas and flavors of the particular style of wine being poured. The wine tasting glasses are yours to keep.

The Riedel company has been producing glass since 1756 in Bohemia and through 11 generations as a family owned and operated business has become the name in premier wine glassware.

Riedel was the first to develop glassware specifically designed to enhance the characteristics of a specific style of wine.

Maximilian Riedel is the 11th generation in the family business and CEO of Riedel Crystal of America.

Cost for the seminar is $65 per person. Seating is limited. Tickets are available at all Yoke's Fresh Markets in Pasco, Kennewick and West Richland. No tickets will be sold at the door.

For more information, call Christopher Sagadin, wine steward for Yoke's Fresh Market in West Richland, 967-8000.
