The product is being recalled from shelves due to fears that half a million bottles could contain small pieces of glass.
Speaking to Sky News, Adam Withrington, Communications Manager for Carlsberg UK said, "Investigations by our bottle manufacturer found that at the time of production there had been an isolated problem on their bottling line.
"The recall only affects 275ml bottles but crucially not all 275ml bottles.
"We are only recalling a specific batch so the majority of Tuborg on sale across the UK is unaffected."
The bottles concerned are sold in packs of 8 or 15.
The fault only affects bottles with best before dates of July 22nd, 23rd and 24th 2011.
No other Carlsberg owned brands are believed to be affected and the company is placing adverts in the national press today to advise the public of the move.
Customers will be entitled to a 100% refund.
