We’ve heard all of the rave about Gorilla Glass and just how strong this substance is. In fact, developers of new gadgets are looking to incorporate Gorilla Glass in their upcoming products and we’ve even heard about Gorilla Glass being included in new model television sets that are on the way.
With all of the positive news that Gorilla Glass has received, the question is just how tough is it? Although we don’t recommend doing this, one fine fellow decided to put Gorilla Glass to the test. YouTuber Metafonic fired three metal pellets from a carbon dioxide (CO2) powered gas gun into his Android tablet from a distance of about one meter.
We don’t want to spoil the surprise, but I’m sure you can guess that the device survived the shooting. In fact, the Galaxy Tab was unscratched and fully functional, even down to the touchscreen display. We have a pair of videos below for you to view. The first shows the results with Gorilla Glass, while the second shows what a pellet does to normal glass.
