Photography, glass exhibits at BAGA through January

Bismarck Art and Galleries Association will present exhibits of photography, glass and more in its galleries through Jan. 29.

                  

Bill Kingsbury's photography and Jason Lindell's glass artwork are featured; member artist Bill Horton's work in oil on canvas, native Minnesota wood creations and photography will be on display in the small gallery. A memorial exhibit of cross stitch by Bette Fockler, "Stitched with Love," also will be on display in the gallery halls.

 

Kingsbury, born and raised in Grafton, has worked in film and digital photography for many years. Since 1990, he and his wife, Joyce, has traveled through North America for subject matter. He calls Medora his favorite place to photograph.

 

Lindell has worked as a stained and fused glass artist for eight years and has a studio, Sundog Glass Design, in Park River. His creations include panels, bowls, tiles, jewelry and windows.

 

The opening reception will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at BAGA, 422 E. Front Ave. A gallery chat with the artists will take place at 5:30 p.m. The reception is free and open to the public.
