Glass has become an important element in today’s modern habitats and commercial developments. It is the material essential for various high-technology products and its use is wide-ranging, if not overwhelming. Glasstech Asia 2011, the world renowned glass exhibition, held in Indonesia from 23 to 25 November 2011 at Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo), will boast of the latest technologies, trends, and developments of the glass industry.

Some 250 companies from 30 countries will take part. Notably, established companies from China (including Shenzhen Handong, Beijing Hanjiang, NorthGlass, Mingte, Shunde Golive, Guangdong Fushan, LandGlass), Singapore (represented by AG Industries and Fuminn), Malaysia (represented by Vesuvius) will be joined by practitioners from Germany, India, Italy, the Philippines, the United States, as well as the United Kingdom.
“This is the long awaited event for glass industry practitioners and we look forward to have more exhibitors and visitors at Glasstech Asia 2011. I am sure the future of the glass industry will be very bright although there may be obstacles along the way,” said Edward Liu, Managing Director of Conference & Exhibition Management Services (CEMS) Pte Ltd, who is on the organising committee of Glasstech Asia 2011.
Apart from showcasing the latest products and technology of the glass industry, other highlights of Glasstech Asia 2011 will include a series of seminars, business match-making, networking reception and an awards presentation. This makes Glasstech Asia 2011 an ideal platform for industry players to expand their network and discover new business opportunities. Glasstech Asia has seen continual success in generating positive business returns in the industry through its targeted business match-making programmes for buyers.
“Glasstech Asia has seen increasing number of exhibitors and visitors every year. Within the period of 2008 and 2010, an increase of 8.57% exhibitors and 45.69% visitors were achieved, while the total number of exhibitors and visitors has increased by 11.54% and 44.7% respectively,” Liu said.
Glasstech Asia will mark its ninth edition in 2011. Previous editions were successfully staged in Singapore, India, Vietnam and Thailand. Being the largest market in South-east Asia and having the highest number of manufacturing plants, Indonesia is the ideal venue to host Glasstech Asia 2011.
