Construction of the Southern Bosera Building in Futian, China has started following a ground breaking ceremony.
The 41 storey tower, designed by Austria-based architect Hans Hollein, is situated in Futian's central financial district (CBD) on a site south east of the Shenzhen stock exchange. The 200 m-high tower has 110000 m2 of internal floorspace.
Developed by China Southern Funds and Bosera Funds it features four glazed sections, each containing six floors evenly stacked one on top of the other and clad in a glass curtain wall. Sandwiched these are three, five floor sections.
There are also an assortment of projecting elements including, balconies, skygardens, terraces, and cantilevered viewing areas.
