Stained Glass Works & Antiques is now open on weekends at 63 E. Market St. at the site of the former Edible Arrangements.

The shop offers a variety of antiques and one-of-a-kind stained glass pieces, according to a press release from the Gaffer District.

Store owner Joe Barlett has more than 35 years as an antique dealer with multiple retail locations in Pennsylvania. He decided to expand last fall and selected Corning, where he purchased the building.

"We're so very excited to bring our love of antiques, collectibles and stained glass to Corning and open our store in the Gaffer District. This community is the ideal place to operate a new location and we're grateful to be welcomed into this wonderful community of small businesses," Barlett said in a prepared statement.

Barlett has 30 years' experience as a stained glass artist and has been a lecturer at two Pennsylvania universities in the subject. His store will also offer classes.

A formal grand opening and ribbon cutting will be held this spring. The story is currently open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. For more, call (607) 936-3772.
