As Gulf Glass 2011 closed at Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Centre, Abu Dhabi, those that exhibited and visited left with an optimism and expectation for the region's growing glass industry. The exhibition took place March 7-9.
For many, the event proved extremely successful. Mega Enterprises, a leading Egyptian glass technology supplier, declared it had a "great" show, having experienced high quality meetings and gaining many useful contacts for future follow up. Elsewhere, two of Germany's leading equipment suppliers, Hegla GmbH & Co KG and MHG Strahlanlagen, both took sizable orders for their machines at the exhibition, according to a March 10 Zawya report.
