The Jaffrey Civic Center is pleased to announce that Hal Danser will be exhibiting his fascinating jewelry in the first floor Display Cases from May 27 through June 30.
Hal is a Jaffrey, NH, resident who designs and creates unique contemporary glass jewelry in his Jaffrey studio.
Hal has always been enticed by the viscosity of glass, its light-gathering qualities, clarity, and beauty. He feels that there is a dichotomy in the physical states of glass. As a medium, glass carries with it connotations of fineness and fragility, but glass as sculpture exhibits power. Glass also possesses a unique strength of emotion. He sees something unique and different in every piece, resulting in an intimate connection between the glass and himself.
Although Hal has worked in blown glass, his true enjoyment is making smaller flame-worked and kiln-formed glass. He is particularly excited by designing and creating unique contemporary pendants and necklaces.
Hal is a juried member of the Sharon Arts Gallery in Peterborough, NH and other select galleries throughout the United States.
The Jaffrey Civic Center is located at 40 Main Street, Jaffrey, New Hampshire, (next to Library, parking in rear.) Hours for visiting are Tues: 10-6, Wed-Fri 1-5, Sat 10-2. For more information either call 603-532-6527 or find us on the website, www.jaffreyciviccenter.com.
