LG announced Tuesday that some of its upcoming products have been certified CarbonFree by CarbonFund.org. The first products with the certification, including electronics and appliances, will be available early next year.
The products will be the first LCD TV, LCD monitor, refrigerator and washer to receive the certification.
"As part of our goal to become the most sustainable consumer products company in the world, LG is thrilled to partner with Carbonfund.org in this groundbreaking effort," Wayne Park, President and CEO of LG Electronics USA, said as part of the announcement.
"Achieving the CarbonFree label for these products both validates the efforts we have made to reduce our carbon footprint and provides consumers important information they can trust."
