Zeledyne LLC will close its Tulsa glass plant Friday and lay off some 200 people unless a last-minute buyer rescues the factory.
The shutdown would end three years of struggles since the plant was purchased by Tulsa native Robert Price. The facility's primary customers in the automotive and construction industries have suffered major setbacks during that time.
Employees of the 37-year-old plant are preparing for their final days of work, but they're holding out hope that an investor will surface.
"Production for our main customer will cease on Friday, and we will not have any work left," said Zeledyne spokeswoman Della DiPietro.
