The GSA selected RavenWindow, along with a competing electrochromic technology, from a pool of 98 funded projects incorporating innovative technologies as part of their scope. As one of the 16 Green Proving Ground test-bed projects, GSA is performing enhanced measurement and verification on this previously funded/acquired technology in conjunction with the Department of Energy national labs, according to a Sept. 19 RavenBrick release. RavenWindow's dynamic technology manages the solar heat entering into a building. Modeling results from the U.S. Department of Energy's Lawrence Berkeley National Lab have shown that energy bills can be cut by up to 40 percent by installing RavenWindow in a commercial building, according to the release.
