DONGXU Group: Develop the World Largest Plat-panel Glass Substrate Base in Wuhu

[China Glass Network] In Morning of Sep.16, Mr. CHEN Shulong, the Secretary of municipal party committee, and Mr. YANG Jingnong, both the Deputy Secretary of municipal party committee and the Mayor, have met with Mr. LI Zhaoyan, the Chairman of DONGXU Group. DONGXU Group will invest and develop the world largest plat-panel glass substrate base in Wuhu. At present, the preparations of project is well-ordered and proceeding rapidly.

It is reported that the base project of DONGXU Group program to create 50 production lines of plat-panel glass substrate, with unified planning and phased implementation. RMB 9 billion is invested and 10 production lines is created in the first phase. With the completion of the project, the annual sales income will reach 30 billion and “the world largest plat-panel glass substrate base” plan will come true.

In the meeting, both sides fully affirmed the positive progress of preparation work, and conducted in-depth communication and exchange in terms of implementation plan of Wuhu project, in order for further meticulous arrangements. They also put forward to reverse arranging order and promote the efficiency.

In morning of Sep.17, some staffs of Wuhu project of DONGXU Group held flag raising ceremony in development zone administration committee, to display their resolves to promote Wuhu project with greatest efforts, highest quality, rapidest speed. Mr. PAN Chaohui claimed in ceremony, each relevant department, especially the development administration committee, should cooperate closely with DONGXU Group and execute works of Wuhu project with high quality and efficiency, to create Wuhu into the world first-class flat-panel glass base.

DONGXU group has been the first domestic enterprise with LCD glass substrate base of large-scale production and sales.
