Engineering News-Record released its report on the top 600 specialty contractors in the October 17 edition of the magazine. The Top 20 Firms in Glazing and Curtainwall was among the specialty building niches that it ranked.
Enclos Corp. led the pack with $164.4 million in revenue for 2010, despite a 42 percent decrease from the year before. Second in line was Walters & Wolf, with a 2010 revenue of $158.9 million and a 27 percent decline in revenue. Third was W&W Glass LLC with $110 million in revenue and a 10 percent hike from the year before. Fourth was Architectural Glass & Aluminum Co. with $62.5 million in revenue and a 13 percent decline from the previous year. Fifth was Gamma USA Inc. with $53.8 million in revenue. Sixth was CBO Glass Inc. with $48 million in revenue and a 6 percent decline from the year before. Seventh was Tower Glass Inc. with $40 million in revenue and 10 percent increase from previous year. Eighth was Karas & Karas Glass Co. with $34.6 million in revenue and a 34 percent decline since last year. Ninth was Giroux Glass Inc. with $33 million in revenue and 56 percent drop from the previous year. And 10th was Ajay Glass & Mirror Co. with $28.2 million in revenue and a 17 percent drop since last year.
Most of the firms on the list saw a decline in revenue from the previous year, except W&W Glass, Tower Glass and Crawford Tracey Corp. Tower Glass saw a 10 percent hike, and Crawford Tracey, in the 15th place, saw a 23 percent hike.
