New Buildings in Beijing: May Stop the Use of Common Glass to Prevent “Light Pollution”

(China Glass Network)At the new book of ‘Thirty Years of China Decoration’ launch, China Building Decoration Association released that the “light pollution” brought puzzle to the urban construction may be prevented in the future. More Photovoltaic glass curtain wall will be applied to the construction in Beijing.

The vice president of China Building Decoration Association, LIU Xiaoyi introduced that the curtain wall built with common glass brought city light pollution in previous years. Following the development of technology and method, the photovoltaic glass is used more widely in construction. Solar photovoltaic glass is consisted of low-iron glass, solar cells, film, back glass and special metal wires etc. Additionally, it is one of the most novel building glass products, which seals the solar cells between the low-iron glass and back glass with the film. Common glass curtain wall will be phased out.
