Attach Heat-resistant Glass Products with Certification Label in China

(China Glass Network) Recently, “Management Method of Using Certification Label on Heat-resistant Glass Products” got the unanimous approval of representatives at the fourth council of the sixth term of China Daily Glass Association.

As the production technology of heat-resistant glass products was gradually mature, the products have been widely used in citizens’ life. It accelerated the vigorous development in the industry. The products’ heat resistance, variety and serialization improved the life quality, enriched people’s life.

With the popularization of heat-resistant glass products, many undeniable problems appeared. Such as, the concept of “heat-resistant glass product” was undefined. It didn’t exist definite and uniform quality standard. Even some manufactures used the ordinary soda-lime glass to imitate the heat-resistant glass. All the above behaviors harmed consumers’ interests. Therefore, now it is essential to attach heat-resistant glass products with certification label. It aims at protecting the safety and interests of consumers, improving the products’ quality, regulating the production process of heat-resistant glass products, guiding the industry develop healthily and orderly, making consumers have the rights of information and option etc.

According to the suggestions of relevant experts and enterprises, China Daily Glass Association formulated “Management Method of Using Certification Label on Heat-resistant Glass Products” referring to the successful practices at home and abroad. At same time, the association actively applied for the certification brand in the end of 2008. Now, the certification brand is “CGIA and Logo”. The heat-resistant glass products will begin to be attached with certification label in China later.
