The location has been operating as Hartung Glass Industries - Dallas, effective since Dec. 1, 2011. "Hartung Glass is very proud of our roots in Texas as an active member of the local glass and metal community for over 10 years with our Arlington branch of Agalite Shower and Bath Enclosures. We see Texas leading the economic recovery, and the addition of Hartung Dallas will complement our existing lines and enhance our ability to better serve the region with an extremely experienced and talented in-place team, and our own fleet of trucks delivering to new and existing customers," Hartung President and Owner Nick Sciola said in the release.
Agalite Arlington has already moved operations to the new plant which it is sharing with Hartung. Products currently in production include Hartung's line of Total Vision Systems glass doors, storefronts and commercial entrances as well as Agalite's entire line of shower and bath enclosure collections. The company plans on installing new equipment throughout 2012 which will allow for more product offerings, enhanced service levels and additional local market capabilities, according to the release.
The HGI Dallas acquisition advances the company's mission of controlled growth and to increase its presence as the leading supplier of fabricated glass products throughout the west and south, according to the release. The addition of the Dallas location to the Hartung Enterprise further solidifies the company's role in the flat glass market and will increase the value that Hartung delivers to customers. Hartung Glass Industries continues to explore additional cities and opportunities for expanding its footprint in the western North American glass market, according to the release.
