Glass Magazine, the industry publication for professional manufacturers of glass and metal materials, has named Tuscaloosa based Coral Industries Inc. “Top in Class for Glass and Metal Fabricators” for a business of revenues between 35 to 50 million in U.S. and Canadian markets.
Coral Industries Inc. Executive Vice President Lewis McAllister III stated:
“Everybody at Coral is proud to be recognized by Glass Magazine as a top glass and metal fabricator. This is a first for us. We always read everybody else's names each year. This year we got ours in there. It has been rough at times, but we have been and still are working hard to beat the recession so it is nice to get a pat on the back by them. We really appreciate it.”
In an industry of over 150 national and regional competitors, Coral Industries Inc. has remained competitive and a proven leader of shower enclosures, glass floors and quality baths since its inception in 1976.
With fewer than 10 employees in 1976, Coral now employs over 300 workers who produce a complete line of bath enclosures, from standard bypasses, swing and pivot door units, to custom designed enclosures, built to accommodate most arrangements and sizes.
Coral’s 210,000 square foot manufacturing facility in Tuscaloosa, Alabama is the site of the entire in-house production process and allows for maximum control and flexibility of production. From injection molding of plastic and vinyl parts, to fabrication of aluminum, to complete door assembly, each step takes place under rigid quality standards.
Coral’s latest endeavor is the development of an Architectural Division. Architectural glass products include aluminum and all glass systems — entrance doors, storefronts, curtain walls, window walls and handrail glass.
