Following a review of demand and capacity in the supply of products for the touch panel market, officials at the NSG Group have decided to delay the company's plans to build a float line in Vietnam to manufacture value-added thin glass, according to a February 10 company news release. A revised timetable for the project, originally announced on May 23, 2011, will be determined in due course.
NSG Ultra Fine Flat glass (UFF) products are increasingly being used in the growing touch panel market, particularly in mobile devices and computers. The group is confident that it will be able to meet near to medium term demand from its existing production facilities.
