Reports have suggested of a deal between Samsung and Corning that would provide a curved glass for the Samsung Galaxy S3. The display screen of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3 may feature the Super AMOLED technology.
Aside from the Android 4.0 OS, the high resolution curved display screen of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has attracted the interest of a number of users. However this curved screen display of the device does not feature the Corning Gorilla Glass technology which allows it to survive minor or some relatively major falls.
Samsung is reportedly working with Corning to allow the smartphone manufacturer to utilize the Lotus Glass, which is the shock-proof technology for display screens. This will give manufacturers the flexibility in producing the displays of the devices. Fortified glass is being used on the Nexus S and the Galaxy Nexus.

Reports have suggested that the curved glass feature will be used by Samsung and it may be possible that the curved screen on the Samsung Galaxy S3 may feature the Corning Gorilla Glass technology and provide the Samsung Galaxy S3 with the Super AMOLED display screen technology.
Since the Galaxy Nexus is a high definition smartphone, some observers have indicated that the Samsung Galaxy S3 feature additional PPIs if it wants the Samsung Galaxy S3 to be considered as a high-end smartphone once it enters the market to allow it to go up against the Apple iPhone 5, which will likely feature an HD display screen.
Although no official statements were issued by Samsung on the possibility that the reports may be connected to the Samsung Galaxy S3, some industry watchers have indicated that the deal will allow slimmer devices since the OLED of Samsung does not require external sources of light while the Corning Gorilla Glass technology will provide solid curved displays for the smartphones of the company.
Reports have hinted earlier that the Samsung Galaxy S3 may be released into the market by June or July with the unveiling taking place near the middle of the year.
