The Glass Association of North America (GANA) of Topeka, Kan., released a new Glass Informational Bulletin (GIB) available for download at no charge on its website at
"Most consumers recognize that UV rays can fade the colors in furniture and carpeting over a period of time," says Brian Pitman, director of marketing and communications for GANA, in the release. "This document discusses the strategies for mitigating these effects using something as easy as laminated glazing. We hear from the general public from time to time, and preventing color fade is one of the most common questions we receive. This document can help those wanting a solution." The GIB was completed at the GANA Annual Conference, currently being held in Sarasota, Fla., during the Protective Glazing Committee meetings. Several other informational bulletins were being finalized during the event. Glass Informational Bulletins are available as a complimentary download in the TechCenter section of GANA's website. More than two dozen bulletins covering a wide variety of glass and glazing topics are currently on the site.
