Success Comes from Responsibility----An Exclusive Interview with the Chairman of Shenzhen Tungtay Glass YAN Jianqiang

(China Glass Network) Recently, Shenzhen Tungtay Glass Co., Ltd and NSG (Nippon Sheet Glass Company) jointly held an exchange seminar about glass application technology of mobile phone cover plate, Windows and automobile glass. The chairman of Shenzhen Tungtay Glass YAN Jianqiang accepted interview with China Glass Network after the meeting.

“What’s original intention of the seminar?”

The main purpose was to introduce foreign advanced products to meet the needs of the factory and industry. It also opened a great start for domestic glass suppliers to enrich Chinese glass industry.

With scattered glass customers, the introduction was to form a chain with NSG to establish centralized customer channels.

“Why did Tungtay Group choose to introduce NSG’s products ?”

It was first time to Introduce NSG’s ultra-thin float glass 0.33 mm. Established in 1918, NSG’s three main operations is building products, auto and special glass. The company has production bases in 29 countries. Its product are exported to more than 130 countries. With good quality products and advanced technology,  NSG has become an good example for domestic enterprises.

“ Is NSG the first foreign cooperation enterprise ? ”

No, Tungtay Group has cooperated with many foreign enterprises. But it was the first time to introduce ultra-thin glass 0.33 mm in China.

“What’s significance of the cooperation ?”

We hope to increase the domestic market demand year by year through the introduction of ultra-thin glass. It may promote the benign competition in the domestic market, speed up the development of new products to fill blank of the market.

In the interview, Chairman YANG also said: “As businessmen, we want to make money, but we can’t always fall behind in the technology. I hope the introduction may change some thoughts and develop new products. It didn’t mean I made great contribution to Chinese glass. But I at least did some change on our products to keep others from looking down upon.”
