First Domestic Flat Display Glass Substrate Production Line Located in Mianyang

(China Glass Network) Glass substrate is an important device of flat display panel. But it has been monopolized by foreign enterprises. Now the situation will be changed. On Apr.10, domestic first glass substrate production line in Mianyang, Sichuan officially started to produce.

Glass substrate’s cost accounts for 30% of the total cost of flat display panel. At present, Japanese products occupy about 90% of the market share. The domestic enterprises depend on importing.

“The project’s frontend investment was 1.1 billion yuan. Aster official operation, the project can achieve annual value of 1 billion yuan. The project is equipped with one glass substrate production line with annual output of 600000 sets, one 150 T/D float glass production line, two fashioning glass substrate production line, one ITO coating production line.” said the principal of Sichuan Xuhong Photoelectric Science & Technology Co., Ltd, “After years’ technology research and development, we gradually grasp the core technology of glass substrate, successfully realize industrialization.”

The construction of glass substrate production line has important strategic significance on perfecting local flat panel display industry chain and breaking foreign manufacturers monopoly situation.
