University of Arkansas Sports GLASS RECYCLED In New Fitness Center

The University of Arkansas has recently renovated their entire campus fitness center. In addition to expanding the facility and adding new equipment and exercise areas, they were careful to incorporate an 'earth-friendly' component to the overall redesign process.

According to Tim Whaley of Glass Recycled, "It was important to not only incorporate timeless materials that would stand the test of time, but also wanted to be as environmentally-friendly as possible. That's why the design team specified GLASS RECYCLED's exclusive product for all of the hard surface countertops in the new fitness center - including the lobby reception areas, email kiosks and recycling stations. "

"The designers on the project had used GLASS RECYCLED in a number of other notable projects and thought it would be ideal for the university center. They originally discovered our fabulous material when working on their Wal-Mart home office campus and searched for an affordable, eco-friendly alternative that was durable and low-maintenance as well. But what really sold them was the exclusive ability that GLASS RECYCLED's offers to customize the color selection to anything their design team could imagine."

GLASS RECYCLED is a Texas-based firm that creates stunning materials for residential and commercial use through its patented process of using recycled glass products to create beautiful and eco-friendly kitchen countertops, vanities, flooring and more. Just as durable as granite but offering a variety of additional benefits, GLASS RECYCLED' products are made from a combination of recycled glass, porcelain or mother of pearl colors and a terrazzo-like epoxy that can be matched to any Sherwin Williams or Benjamin Moore paint color. The company features an exclusive online Designer Showcase where designers can select from hundreds of color combination choices or create their own custom samples - taking any guesswork out of specifying this fabulous product for their clients.

In addition to GlassSLAB for countertop use, the firm has created three additional sub-brands including GlassPLANK is the company's unique recycled glass flooring and wall panel product, GlassDECOR that can be transformed into uniquely designed interior products such as table tops, glass panels, ceiling tiles and other imaginable applications and GlassSCAPE - which is loose, bagged recycled glass and porcelain aggregate product that can be used as a permanent and beautiful alternative to groundcover, mulch or used in fountain and aquariums.
