Mitt Romney’s presidential election would best aid the present construction industry’s recession, according to a recent poll conducted by Engineering News-Record (ENR). Out of the 378 of those who participated in the poll, 71 percent selected Romney as the strongest candidate to revive the industry. In the same regard, 14.8 percent voted for Barack Obama.
The construction industry’s recession is projected to continue through 2013, according to the ENR Construction Industry Confidence Index. In addition, the ENR Survey also inquired respondents as to their beliefs on the current direction of the construction market. The study revealed 32 percent believe the market is still declining, while 17 percent feel the market is steadily rebounding from the recession.
