Corning: Gorillas Glass Applied to 100m equipment

Along with the development of glass technology, the Corning’s gorillas glass is very tough. According to the statistics, up to now, this manufacturer has installed its gorillas glass in more than 100 million equipments.  

Recently, Corning released its third quarter of 2012 earnings report. The company officials said, there are more than 100 million equipment has been installed gorillas glass, covered 33 major brands and more than 500 kinds of types.

Apart from smart mobile phone, tablet PC, laptop and even TV set have been installed gorillas tempered glass. And the accessories penetration is still continue to rise; it will likely be detection screen wear-resisting degree of standard.

And in sale numbers, in the third quarter corning won an income of $2.04 billion. Compared with the previous quarter, it grows 7 percent, but 2% dropped than the same period of last year.
