State-owned Indian energy group Tamil Nadu Generation Company (TANGEDCO) has issued a tender for solar projects in 2013 with a total capacity of 1GW.
The tender is part of a three-year program of the regional government of the state of Tamil Nadu, which includes a total of 3GW of installed capacity until 2015, using PV and solar thermal technology.
TANGEDCO wants to facilitate investors by procuring the energy generated from plants with a capacity of 1MW and above through a long-term power purchase agreement up to the total capacity of 1,000MW.
