Siemens Industry has strengthened its commitment to UK manufacturers with the appointment of a specialist team that focuses on the needs of the glass and solar sector.
The team will provide support to the sector to address requirements in areas of industrial technology, in particular, automation and drive technologies solutions.
The glass and solar sector team will be led by Steve Martin. He said: “Siemens Industry understands the issues facing the glass and solar sector.
"Our specialist team will work alongside manufacturers to ensure we help them meet the challenges of the future, including improving operational efficiencies and creating flexible production platforms.”
Sector heads will exploit market potential in high-growth vertical markets across the UK, with a view of bringing intelligence to the product development and production process.
Siemens will also take a position in the merging of product development and production structures, while looking to identify and grasp growth opportunities in emerging markets.
