Sage Electrochromics announced the first customer shipments from its new high-volume manufacturing plant. The plant is the largest electrochromic manufacturing plant in the world, capable of producing more than 4 million square feet of EC glass a year, according to company officials. Located next to Sage's global headquarters in Minnesota, the facility is able to produce dynamic glass in high volumes, and in larger commercial, architectural sizes at an affordable cost, according to a company release.
One of the first projects featuring glass from the new facility is a state-of-the-art research facility at Argonne National Laboratory.
