This isn't a painting — it's an actual room you can walk around in. (Though you probably shouldn't.) Artist Liza Lou creates all kinds of things with tiny glass beads, and this is her most famous installation: "Kitchen." Lou hand-glued about 30 million beads to cabinets, floor tiles, a table, chairs, everything you'd expect to find in a kitchen, all with a pair of tweezers. What really gets us is the attention to detail; you'd almost expect to find a beaded family living here. Keep clicking to see the beaded backyard, a separate installation titled (you guessed it!) "Back Yard," you'll be amazed that such a beaded world exists. We almost want to live in it. — By Nick Mangione [Source]
