Sponsored by the oldest glass club in Florida, Jacksonville's 40th annual Depression and Antique Glass Show and Sale will be held Oct. 19-20.
Glass dealers from across the country will be at the show, which will be hosted by the Depression Glass Club of Northeast Florida Inc.
There will be 7,000 square feet of displays of glass, china and pottery from the Depression era through the 1960s, including Depression and Elegant glassware, Carnival glass, Fiesta, Heisey and Fostoria, according to a news release.
Also planned is a center-aisle display of commemorative and red, white and blue glass to salute veterans and a glass identification booth will be available.
Free cup and saucer sets will be given to the first 100 paid attendees, free seminars are planned at 1:15 p.m. both days and more than $600 in door prizes will be given away. Also, food will be for sale.
The event will be held at the Fraternal Order of Police Building, 5530 Beach Blvd. in Jacksonville. Hours will be 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 19 and 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 20.
Admission is $5 for both days. Parking is free.
