The Insulating Glass Manufacturers Alliance (IGMA) has announced that its 2014 Annual Conference and Insulating Glass Educational Seminar will be held March 4-7, 2014, at the JW Marriott Union Square in San Francisco.
The combined event will feature informative lunch presentations on several industry technical issues, networking sessions, meetings of several IGMA committees and more.
“We’re combining our committee week and education seminar to provide attendees with a total value-added program,” says Margaret Webb, executive director of IGMA. “The week opens with a night tour of Alcatraz providing a unique networking opportunity for our members and seminar guests to interact in an intriguing environment. We are continuing the next day at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory where the Emerging Technology and Innovation Committee are meeting to work on IGMA’s research projects, get updates on current LBNL research and tour the state-of-the-art FlexLab facilities.”
IGMA president Frank Caporiccio of PPG Industries adds, “The IGMA meetings are a must-attend for everyone involved in the fenestration industry. Our standard development activities are recognized by the industry as addressing best practices for insulating glass production as well as supporting the long-term performance, quality and efficiency of these units. Guidelines for proper installation and maintenance of the units through their lifetime are also provided through the association.”
The IGMA committee meets will be held March 5 through lunch on March 6 while the education portion of the event will run from the afternoon of March 5 through March 6.
Hotel reservations may be made via the IGMA website, and registration will open in the next few weeks.
