The $400 million Tower at PNC Plaza in Pittsburgh will feature a double-skin glass exterior to allow for improved air circulation, according to a Nov. 10 release in the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review. The cavity between the glass skins will be open, allowing workers to enter through a door on the interior skin to breathe fresh air, architect Doug Gensler said in the article.
