Pilkington North America Inc. has been fined $150,000 after it failed to correct several workplace safety lapses, reports The Indianapolis Business Journal.Inspectors found company managers had failed to correct several workplace safety lapses discovered at a plant following a worker´s 2010 death.The plant was fined last month by the Indiana Occupational Safety and Health Administration after the inspection this spring at the plant.The Indianapolis Business Journal reported that a July 27 safety order alleges six ‘repeat’ violations by Pilkington, a subsidiary of Japanese conglomerate NSG Group.The Shelbyville plant has about 350 employees. 21.08.2012, Pilkington North America Inc./glass-international.com
