Vietnam Float Glass Industry under Great Pressure from Foreign Commodity

According to Vietnam the Saigon Economic Times reported on August 16, some of the Vietnam glass factories had to reduce their production due to overstock. The building market was still in depression, while the processed glass was still imported into Vietnam, especially from China. It has caused a lot of loss to Vietnam domestic glass enterprises. At present, the stock in Vietnam glass enterprises has reached 0.39 million tons which is equal to 5 month production of whole industry, the president of Vietnam Glass association released.There are 8 float glass enterprises whose day capacity are over 2600 tons and more than hundreds glass processing enterprises in Vietnam which can meet demand of domestic needs.
