UK glass manufacturer Beatson Clark is producing a bespoke bottle for the Brooklyn Brewery in New York.The 750ml amber bottle has the brewery logo embossed on both sides: the words ‘Brooklyn Brewery’ are embossed on one side and the words ‘Brewed in Brooklyn’ appear on the other.Local 1, Local 2, and Sorachi Ace are part of Brooklyn Brewery’s family of Big Bottles – brews that are 100% refermented in the 750ml amber glass bottle. Brooklyn Brewery operates the largest bottle refermentation programme in the United States.Beatson Clark specialises in providing glass packaging solutions for niche brands in the food, drink and pharmaceutical markets worldwide. Blueglass–Sofomec is a distributor of glass packaging in the export market, and has been working in partnership with Beatson Clark on this project.Brooklyn Brewery was founded in 1988 by former Associated Press correspondent Steve Hindy and ex-banker Tom Potter, who aimed to bring good beer back to New York City.
