In May, McGraw-Hill Construction's Dodge Momentum Index slipped 1.2 percent from April, according to a McGraw-Hill release. The index, which provides a glimpse at nonresidential construction spending a year out, was split, with institutional building gaining 1.5 percent for the month, and commercial building declining 4 percent.
