$190,000 fine over glass crushing death

A glass importing and supply company has been fined $190,000 after a man was crushed to death when large glass sheets weighing more than a ton fell on him in southwestern Sydney.

The man had been offloading the glass sheets from shipping containers at Padstow for 7 Star Glass on Sept. 28, 2007, when they fell on him, according to a Dec. 13 report in The Sydney Morning Herald.
