Glaston appoints new senior vice president

Glaston Corp., Finland, has appointed Uwe Schmid to the position of senior vice president, Software Solutions, according to an April 8 release. He will start at Glaston in the middle of July and assume the full operational responsibility of the Software Solutions Business Area on Sept. 1. He will be a member of Glaston Corp.´s Executive Management Group and report to Arto Mets?nen, president and CEO.The current SVP of Software Solutions, Günter Befort, will continue at Glaston as senior industrial adviser and as a member of the Executive Management Group, and will support the new SVP in his new duties.Schmid has broad IT and industry experience.
