BOE TECHNOLOGY GROUP CO., will buy the entire 25 per cent stake of ASAHI GLASS CO. (TSE:5201) in BEIJING ASAHI GLASS ELECTRONICS CO., a Chinese manufacturer of cathode-ray-tube components as early as August. BOE already owns 50 per cent of the CRT firm.
The shares are to be bought for only slightly under 400 yen (US$3.71).
Another Asahi Glass group firm is also to sell its entire 5 per cent stake in Beijing Asahi Glass Electronics to BOE.
Thus, BEIJING ASAHI GLASS ELECTRONICS CO. becomes the wholly-owned subsidiary of BOE.
