THE government has been challenged to protect the local glass industry from exploitation. Embakasi South MP Irshad Sumra yesterday said imported glass materials pose a threat to local products.
Speaking to the Star in Mombasa, Sumra said Kenyan manufactures produce better quality glass but face a major threat from cheap and poor quality glass imported from China and Dubai.
