Besana Lovati Gets New Ownership; Announces New Sales Positions

Umberto Fassi, president of Costruzioni Meccaniche Besana S.p.A., the Italian maker of glass processing equipment, has acquired 100 percent of USA-based Besana Lovati Inc. The Winston Salem, N.C.-based company is known for representing high-quality machines and sundries from companies such as Macotec, Quaranta, Besana, Rollmac, Cugher and Lovati.

In addition, Besana Lovati Inc. recently announced that Dio Guerra has been appointed to the position of national sales manager. Guerra, who has more than 28 years of experience in the glass fabricating industry, will be responsible for all sales activities in North America.

Hal Strait has also been named as a sales agent for Besana Lovati in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa and Wisconsin. Strait has more than 30 years of experience in the glass industry in various roles in engineering, manufacturing and machine sales.
