Valmieras stikla skiedra: More than 4,5 million worth production unit is being constructed in Valmiera

Construction of third glass furnace with one stage method continues in territory of JSC "Valmieras stikla skiedra-?. The creation of the new plant began at the beginning of the year 2012 and the total amount of investments is more than 4.5 million lats, and its opening is expected at the end of this year.

New glass fibre one-stage furnace is intended for production of a special kind of glass, minimizing production costs, modernising processes and obtaining a high added value product at the same time. Only the newest and most progressive technologies are used in the furnace construction process for it to be environmentally friendly. It is expected to be energy-efficient, decreasing the amount of energy use for 40%, and also effective, because the new furnace will provide about 50% higher productivity by using all the production surpluses efficiently.
