Minnesota Armory Uses Dynamic Glass from Sage in Renovation Project

The Minnesota National Guard Armory in Pine City, Minn., is using dynamic glass from Sage Electrochromics to help improve the effectiveness of soldier training in the facility, according to information from the company.

The 1976-built Armory, home to Troop B, 1st Squadron, 94^th Calvary (1-94 CAV) Armored Reconnaissance Squadron, recently underwent a major renovation to upgrade the facility’s aging infrastructure. The Armory installed SageGlass in its assembly hall to control the sun’s glare and heat, as well as to provide advanced daylight control capabilities for times when the squadron needs to darken the facility for training and presentation purposes.

The renovation was designed by SJA Architects in Duluth and the windows were installed by National Window Associates in Spring 2012. During this time the squadron was deployed in the Middle East.
