Draft 1 of ENERGY STAR 6.0 Specification Released; AAMA to Prepare Response

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has announced the release of Draft 1 of the ENERGY STAR^® for Windows, Doors, and Skylights Version 6.0 specification and the ENERGY STAR for Windows, Doors, and Skylights Version 6.0 Draft 1 Criteria and Analysis Report for stakeholder review.

AAMA’s Regulatory Affairs Committee Rapid Response Team (RRT) will conduct a thorough review of the draft document and develop an AAMA response. To ensure that the RRT is able to address industry concerns, AAMA members are encouraged to participate in the AAMA Legislative and Regulatory LinkedIn® group to share their comments on the latest draft.

According to the EPA, this draft specification was developed with consideration to the comments received in response to the Version 6.0 Product Specification Framework Document released in October 2011.
