PITTSBURGH, July 25, 2012 – The Intercontinental Hotel in San Francisco earned LEED(R) Gold certification last year in recognition of comprehensive sustainability practices such as aggressive recycling and energy conservation programs. Translucent blue AZURIA(R) glass by PPG provides one of the hotel’s signature design flourishes while it helps reduce energy use by bathing guest rooms, offices and meeting space in natural light and reducing reliance on artificial light.
