Architect nominates glass bank for landmark status

Madison architect Kenton Peters has nominated the iconic US Bank Plaza building on Capitol Square as a landmark, which could complicate or block the building owner's plans to update the structure.

The bank building, completed before the energy crisis of the 1970s, has glass walls with no solar shading, and sloped atriums sheathed with simple polished plate glass.
